Supervision

Becoming a Chartered Occupational Psychologist?

Structured, supportive supervision for trainees on the BPS Qualification in Occupational Psychology: real feedback on every submission, the paperwork handled properly, and a supervisor who has walked the road you are on.

Your supervisor

Supervision that goes beyond the paperwork.

Supervision with Sarah is more than sign-offs. Trainees get coaching, confidence, best-practice guidance and help finding the project opportunities the qualification demands, from a supervisor who has supervised over 150 students and sat on the other side as a BPS assessor's candidate.

  • BPS Chartered Occupational Psychologist (205600)

  • BSc Psychology, MSc Occupational Psychology, MA Human Resource Management

From Sarah

I have sat exactly where you are sitting.

I am Sarah Makinde, a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, HCPC registered, and an assessor and supervisor for the British Psychological Society. Before any of that I was a candidate on this same qualification, with a demanding job and a mountain of evidence to produce.

I have spent two decades across higher education and senior corporate roles, and supervised more than 150 students as a university lecturer. I know the difference a supervisor makes. The right one turns the qualification from something you survive into something that genuinely shapes you as a psychologist.

That is the supervision I set out to offer: real feedback on every submission before an assessor ever sees it, paperwork we complete together rather than paperwork you chase, and someone in your corner who has sat on both sides of the assessment table.

Tell me where you are on the journey. I would love to help you finish it.

How it works

What working together looks like.

Feedback that moves you forward

Every submission gets a full review with written feedback, so you always know where you stand and what to strengthen next.

The paperwork, done properly

Plans, records and sign-offs completed with you in session, so admin never becomes the obstacle.

Doors opened, not just work marked

The qualification demands real project experience, and I actively help you find those opportunities.

What trainees say

Support that shows in the results.

“Sarah's supervision gave me structure, confidence and honest feedback exactly when I needed it. I achieved a Distinction grade.”

Naomi, supervisee

“Detailed knowledge, thorough preparation and real enthusiasm for the profession.”
