Certified Coaches can charge around £200 per hour. That means you can earn back your investment with your first few clients. You will be supported to start working with paying clients before you even finish the course.

Hi, I'm Sarah Makinde
As a Chartered Psychologist, Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist and NLP Trainer, I help coaches, therapists, and consultants who know they could be going deeper with their clients to unlock the power of NLP and create real, lasting change for both their clients and themselves.
Before starting my business, for years, I'd put myself down at every opportunity. I'd focus on my 'weaknesses' and ignore my strengths. I'd stay quiet, blending into the background, afraid to speak up. I was stuck in a loop of doubt and self-judgment.
Then I discovered the power of NLP, Coaching, Positive Psychology and Mindfulness. My own journey from feeling unseen to stepping fully into my power is the foundation of how I teach and coach today.
I've transformed my life and my business using everything that I now teach other people to use. I also understand the fear, the doubts, and the frustration of trying to learn something new - especially something as deep and transformational as NLP.
Over the last 20 years, I've helped hundreds of professionals add coaching and NLP tools to their work - and become confident in creating rapid breakthroughs and grow a thriving practice. Now, I'm here to guide you - every step of the way.
Questions, answered
How long does the certification take?
12 weeks, with around 4 hours a week of live training - over 60 live hours in total, which also qualifies you for a higher membership level with the Association for Coaching.
Who is the course for?
Managers, leaders, consultants, trainers and therapists - anyone who wants to coach at an advanced level, whether you're starting a coaching business or using coaching in your existing role.
What happens when I sign up?
You get immediate access to the online learning portal and an onboarding module covering all the logistics, links and dates.
What if I fall behind?
Every session is recorded, so you can catch up on the recordings and materials at your own pace.
What is the weekly commitment?
Live sessions run on Thursdays, 5:30-9:30pm BST, from April 2026 - around 4 hours a week. Cohorts are flexible, so you can pick up sessions across cohorts if you need to.
Do I need to attend all the live sessions?
The live sessions form part of the certification, but attendance is flexible - you can attend sessions across different cohorts.
What makes this course different?
It's practical, jargon-free and evidence-based, taught by a Chartered Psychologist, with references for the theory lovers and real tools for everyone else.
How do I get certified?
Complete the 12 live sessions, a reflective log, a report and a multiple-choice questionnaire, plus your coaching hours - pro bono clients are available through our community of over 19,000 members. Your details are then sent to the Association for Coaching.
What if I need to pause?
Life happens. If you need to pause, you can join the next cohort and pick up where you left off.
Is this only for people starting a coaching business?
Not at all. Many students are managers who use it to coach their teams - we cover both internal and external organisational coaching.
