Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, store and protect your personal data, in line with UK GDPR.

Who we are

The Coaching Corner Academy (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Registered as The Coaching Corner Ltd, company number 13545185. Contact: sarah@thecoachingcorneracademy.com. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZB821708.

What we collect

  • Details you submit via our forms: name, email, phone (optional), your message and course interest.
  • Account data if you register for the student portal (email, name, your course progress).
  • If you contact us via WhatsApp or other channels, the messages and contact details you provide.
  • Basic technical data needed to run the site securely (e.g. session cookies).

How and why we use it (lawful basis)

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide our courses and services, performance of a contract / our legitimate interest in responding to you.
  • To send you marketing (e.g. course updates), only where you have given consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To run the student portal and track your learning progress, performance of a contract.
  • To keep records and meet legal/accreditation obligations, legal obligation / legitimate interest.

Where your data is stored (our processors)

We store data with reputable providers under data-processing agreements:
  • Supabase (database & authentication), hosted in the EU (eu-west-1).
  • Vercel (website hosting).
  • Our email and, where used, messaging/automation tools (e.g. WhatsApp Business, our automation platform).
Some providers may process data outside the UK/EU; where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as UK/EU approved transfer mechanisms) are in place.

Cookies

We use essential cookies needed to run the site and keep you signed in to the student portal. We do not use them to track you across other sites.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and contact data only as long as needed to deal with your request and for our legitimate business records (up to 24 months), and student records for as long as required for your course and certification. We then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email sarah@thecoachingcorneracademy.com. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
